This quilt will grow over 12 months.  It comprises of 25 pieced stars using different techniques to construct and 8 whimsical stitcheries.  You will need your sewing machine in class to construct stars and stitcheries will be completed at your leisure over the 12 months.  Size without borders is 48” x 48”.  The graph of the quilt is available to see and some of the completed stitcheries are at the shop when Ali is – but true to form the quilt is a work in progress!

Step out at the shops with this little number and you are sure to get some comments.  Designed using a panel - alternatively you could easily use a favourite fabric.

This class comprises of drafting, fast rotary cutting, machine piecing and understanding how different fabric values can give the same block a variety of looks.  Once you have completed your sampler blocks, you will be taught how to calculate your sashing and backing requirements.  The basics of machine quilting will then be taught and after 3 weeks away quilting you will return to learn how to finish your quilt with binding.

A ten month class making a quilt from Anni Downs' book 'Some Kind of Wonderful'.  Come sit and enjoy a couple of hours stitching and or appliqueing these delighful blocks featuring life's simple pleasures. You must have purchased the book to participate in this class.

Roxanne’s hands on workshop on 'tubing' will leave you full of inspiration to create a variety of patterns using Jelly Rolls or just plain scraps. This technique is fast and effective so come and have a play or bring along your Jelly Roll and make a start on the lap quilt like Roxanne's sample.

This little beauty is a single bed size quilt (approximately 55" x 70").  It features the traditional double Irish Chain block with the added feature of a pieced border.

You can never have enough places to store all of your sewing treasures.  You can use the remainder of your panel from last month or simply use another favourite fabric.

In this class you can choose to make one of these easy, handy bags using a Charm Pack or Jelly Roll. Roxanne will help you create and you will be able to leave with your completed bag.

This class is a fast and fun way to make a quilt using a large scale print that you love, yet have not been able to incorporate in your previous quilts.  Jenny will help you create a stunning quilt - using Judy Sisneros' book '9-Patch Pizzazz' (available at The Patchwork Tree) which you must purchase to participate in the class.

In this workshop Dianne will teach the principals of easy, stress free needle-turn appliqué. The techniques taught will include pattern transferring, achieving sharp points, smooth curves, fray free concave corners, bias stems, and simple invisible stitches.  Dianne specializes in correct colour and balance, which will help you with all your patchwork, not just applique.  You will be supplied with the pattern "Rose and Daisy" to work on in class.

Roxanne will help you to create two quilts in one using a 'Quilt as you go' method.  It will be fun, easy, and will teach you a technique that you will be able to use for many other projects.  You don’t have to use the 'I Spy' fabrics – you could use any scraps to create (and FINISH!!) your masterpiece.

Improve your machine quilting skills with Roxanne. This is an excellent class for anyone who wants to learn more about machine quilting their own tops. Roxanne will give you some great tips and ideas to try.

* *You must have a walking foot and spring darning foot for your machine to do this class.

This strip pieced quilt uses just five fabrics to create an effective pretty design that would be suitable for any age or could be used as a feature table cloth.  The class uses both the Companion and Easy Angles - so is great way to learn a new technique while creating. 

Need somewhere to keep those finished blocks, half finished stitcheries or Christmas works of art? Want your Tea Towel to dry dishes? Roxanne has designed this Block Album for you to make that will keep your blocks up to 15” square flat.

It also has pockets on the inside to store your pattern, book, magazine or bits and pieces. You can choose to incorporate her stitchery or appliqué on the front – or use your own design or favorite.

This effective use of your favourite Jelly Roll is a technique class where Roxanne will help you to divide up your coloured strips and show you how to create your block.  You will then begin creating your own blocks and be well on the way to creating this generous sized quilt.

This class is an opportunity to learn Dianne's latest creation.  In this class she will teach you the various techniques used to make the fans.  You will then be able to continue creating on your own.  A picture of this quilt is available for viewing at the tree.
