Our coffee morning is a great opportunity for you to get out
of the house, meet like minded souls and enjoy a chat and
a cuppa while you create. Bring along your latest hand project
or pick up one of the many kits/patterns
we have available in the shop.
We'd like to hear from you if the second Wednesday of each
month is not suitable for you. Register
your interest by suggesting an alternative day or time
and we will try to accommodate!

Miss Millies Stitchery
SECOND Saturday of each month - 9.30am - 11.30am (Starts 12 July)
Our popular monthly stitchery class will be working from Miss Millie’s Flower Patch book by Bronwyn Hayes. To participate in this class you must have purchased the book. You will spend your mornings or afternoons stitching and chatting.
Early in 2009 we will offer optional workshops to collate your stitcheries into a triple Irish chain quilt.

Christmas
FIRST Saturday of each month

Each month we will be offering a different Christmas project that you can make for either yourself or as a gift. There will be decorations, cards, wall hangings, coasters and place mats etc. We will be ready for Christmas 2008 – will you?

Quiltmaking Stage 1 Machine
Thursday 29 May - 9.30am - 12.30pm then weekly 9.30am - 11.30am

This class comprises of drafting, fast rotary cutting, machine piecing and understanding how different fabric layouts give the same block a different look.
You will be taught how to calculate your sashing and backing as well as the basics of machine quilting. After 3 weeks away you will return to learn how to bind your quilt.

Machine Applique - Blanket Stitch

Have you ever wanted to create Blanket stitch (usually done by hand) using your sewing machine? Roxanne has some great tips and ideas to share.
(Be warned that some sewing machines do Blanket stitch better than others – some don’t do it at all. However Roxanne is happy to have a play with you and your machine to create great looking machine appliqué.)

Hand Pieced Sampler

This class will start with a free Set Up day on Wednesday 7th May from 9.00am to 11.00am. Judie will help you on this day put your fabrics together and will go through the requirements and class outline.
All the blocks are hand pieced and you will have a choice of hand piecing or using the machine for your borders.

Cascades of Colour

A traditional triple Irish Chain quilt in all it’s beauty. Easy strip piecing – this is a large quilt measuring approximately 71" x 91½", however it comes together very quickly. Taught by Jenny this class is a must do for everyone.
